We help neighbours resolve disputes which are affecting their comfort, their security and the enjoyment of their property, without the expense and worry of Court proceedings.
Counselling can provide you with a place to process difficult emotions arising from events such as relationship break down, family issues, bereavement, or difficulties at work, which occur in most people’s lives at some time. The way we manage these difficulties can be affected by our previous experiences, including how we learned to cope with challenges in childhood. In this way, ‘everyday’ problems may leave us struggling to cope and can sometimes result in emotional difficulties such as low self-esteem, depression and anxiety or in behavioural problems such as anger, addiction or eating disorders.
I can offer you a non-judgemental, confidential space to explore these issues, in which I will aim to facilitate your journey towards a deeper understanding of your current situation and a clearer perspective of your way forward towards a satisfying and meaningful future.
I work with both adult and adolescent clients experiencing relationship difficulties, feelings of depression or anxiety they are struggling to understand, or more complex issues such as eating disorders, self-harm or trauma. If at any time, I feel that you might require more specialist help, we will discuss what options are available to you, and aim to refer you if necessary.
I am a qualified Person-Centred and Integrative counsellor with a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, and a degree in Psychology from the University of Gloucestershire. I am also a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
The counselling I offer can be either time limited, or open ended, to be discussed in the initial session and guided by what is best for you. The cost is £35 per hour and sessions usually take place weekly.
